Ihre Musik entfaltet sich im Spannungsfeld zwischen festgeschriebener Struktur und offenem Moment. Die Kompositionen aller drei Musiker dienen dabei nicht als vorgefertigte Aussagen, sondern als Entdeckungsrahmen für eine Klangsprache, die sich im gemeinsamen Spiel zu einem eigenständigen Bandsound verdichtet.

Die Konzerte im LOFT beginnen in der Regel gegen 20 Uhr - das LOFT öffnet jeweils um 19.30 Uhr.

The trio brings together Philip Golub (Brooklyn), Roger Kintopf (Cologne), and Samuel Ber (Paris/Brussels). Three of the most distinctive musicians on a transatlantic jazz scene that has long understood the boundaries between composition and improvisation as a productive point of friction.
Their music unfolds in the tension between fixed structure and open-ended moments. The compositions by all three musicians serve not as pre-determined statements, but as a framework for discovery of a sonic language that coalesces into a distinct band sound through their collective playing.



The concerts at the LOFT will generally start at around 8.00 pm CEST - the LOFT will open at 7.30 pm CEST.
Exceptions during wintertime - eg on Sundays - are possible.
