Pianist Joe Webb has emerged as a leading force on the global jazz scene today, captivating audiences with his exceptional talent and rockstar-like persona. Pianist Joe Webb has fast become one of the most talked-about figures in British jazz – a musician whose combination of raw talent, charisma, and individuality has made a lasting impression on audiences worldwide. His new album, Hamstrings & Hurricanes, released on Edition Records and shortlisted for the 2025 Mercury Prize, captures his boldest statement yet – where the pulse of 90s Brit-pop meets the lyricism of jazz piano, rooted in his Welsh heritage and love of melody. The result is vivid, rhythmic, and unmistakably his own.
Since moving from Wales to London in 2013, Joe has performed at Ronnie Scott’s, Blue Note China, Jazzwoche Burghausen, and the London Jazz Festival, while collaborations with Wynton Marsalis, Jools Holland, and Kansas Smitty’s have shown his range and versatility. Fuelled by passion, personality, and instinct, Joe Webb continues to redefine what it means to be a modern jazz artist.
