Engagements führten die Solotänzerin an das Ballett Frankfurt zu Egon Madsen und William Forsythe, ins Zürcher Ballett unter Uwe Scholz, Ballett Basel unter Heinz Spoerli und Youri Vámos sowie an die Deutsche Oper am Rhein. Sie tanzte zahlreiche Haupt- und Solorollen in Choreographien von Mats Ek, Youri Vámos, Nils Christe, Heinz Spoerli, William Forsythe, Uwe Scholz, Hans van Manen, John Cranko, George Balanchine, Judith Jamison, Nacho Duato und Paul Taylor. Seit 2001 ist Young Soon Hue international erfolgreich als Choreographin tätig. Sie kreierte inzwischen um die 38 Ballette, darunter „Romeo und Julia“, „Carmen“, „Carmina Burana“, „Der Feuervogel“, „The Moment“, „Reflektion“, „Touch“, „Wave of Emotions“, „Transparent Moment“, „This is your life“, „Backstage“, „Elle chante“, „El susurro del Tiempo“, „BOB (Best of Beatles)“, „Valse triste“, „Ampelfieber“, „Sound of Silence“, „Glashaus“, „Reminicense“, „IF“, „The edge of the circle“ und „Illusion“. Ihre Werke sind im Repertoire internationaler Compagnien wie dem Tulsa Ballet (USA), Queensland Ballet (Australien), den südkoreanischen Compagnien National Ballet of Korea, Universal Ballet Company, Seoul Ballet Theatre, Ccaddo Dance Theatre und Ballet Blanc, dem türkischen National Ballet of Ankara und National Ballet of Izmir, der Deutschen Oper am Rhein, Aalto Ballett Theater Essen, den Ballettensembles der Theater in Hagen, Augsburg, Schwerin und Coburg. Young Soon Hue wurde mit ihren Werken zu internationalen Galas und Festivals wie den Ballettfestivals in Zagreb, Bodrum, Split, Pusan und Kasachstan, ins Joyce Theater New York, zur Ballett EXPO in Korea, zum Korea World Stars Dance Festival, der Internationalen Ballett-Gala des Balletts Kiel, der Istanbul Ballet Competition Gala, dem Queensland International Ballet Festival, der Hagen International Aids Gala und der Dresdener Biennale 2014 eingeladen. 2006 wurde sie vom größten Tanzmagazin Koreas zur besten Choreographin des Jahres gewählt, 2009 bekam sie den Preis der Tanzkritik in Korea für „This is your life“ als beste Choreographin und für „Wave of Emotions“ als bestes Stück. 2010 und 2011 war Young Soon Hue künstlerische Direktorin des Korea World Stars Dance Festival und Seoul International Ballet Festival, 2012 als Choreographin und Organisatorin bei der Ballett EXPO 2012 tätig. Ihr 2013 für K-Ballet World kreiertes Stück „The Moment“ wurde von der koreanischen Ballet Association und der Ballet Critic Association als „Beste Choreographie des Jahres 2013“ ausgezeichnet.
Young Soon Hue was born in Inchon, South Korea and studied ballet at the Little Angels Art School in Seoul and at the Academie de danse classique de Princesse Grace in Monte Carlo under the direction of Marika Besobrasova. Her professional career as a soloist began with Frankfurt Ballet under the direction of Egon Madsen and William Forsythe, followed by engagements with Zürich Ballet under the direction of Uwe Scholz, Basel Ballet under Heinz Spoerli and Youri Vámos and Deutsche Oper am Rhein. Young Soon Hue has danced numerous principle and solo roles from internationally renowned choreographers such as Mats Ek, Youri Vámos, Nils Christe, Heinz Spoerli, William Forsythe, Uwe Scholz, Hans van Manen, John Cranko, George Balanchine, Judith Jamison, Nacho Duato and Paul Taylor. Since 2001, Young Soon Hue is internationally successful as a choreographer. She created over 38 ballets in the meantime, including “Romeo and Julia”, “Carmen”, “Carmina Burana”, “Firebird”, “The Moment”, “Reflektion”, “Touch”, “Wave of Emotions”, “Transparent Moment”, “This is your life”, “Backstage”, “Elle chante”, “El susurro del Tiempo”, “BOB (Best of Beatles)”, “Valse triste”, “Ampelfieber”, “Sound of Silence”, “Glashaus”, “Reminicense”, “IF”, “The edge of the circle” und “Illusion”. Her works are in the repertory of international dance companies such as the Tulsa Ballet (USA), Queensland Ballet (Australia), the South Korean companies National Ballet of Korea, Universal Ballet Company, Seoul Ballet Theatre, Ccaddo Dance Theatre and Ballet Blanc, the Turkish National Ballet of Ankara and the National Ballet of Izmir, the Aalto Ballett Theater Essen, the companies of Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Theatre Hagen, Augsburg, Schwerin and Coburg. Her works also have been presented at many international Galas and Festivals like the Festivals of Zagreb, Bodrum, Split, Pusan und Kasachstan, the Joyce Theater New York, the Ballet EXPO in Korea, the Korea World Stars Dance Festival, the International Ballet Gala Kiel, the Istanbul Ballet Competition Gala, Queensland International Ballet Festival, Hagen International Aids Gala and Dresdener Biennale 2014. In 2006 Young Soon Hue was awarded as “Best Choreographer of the Year” from the “MOM” Dance Magazine in Korea, in 2009 as “Best choreographer and best piece of the year” with “This is your life” and “Wave of Emotions” from Dance critic prize of Korea. In 2010 and 2011 Young Soon Hue was artistic Director of The Korea World Stars Dance Festival and Seoul International Ballet Festival. In 2012 she has been invited to choreograph “Transparent moment” for the Ballet EXPO Seoul, and in 2013 she created the new piece “The Moment” for the K-Ballet World Festival. She was awarded for “The best Choreography of the Year 2013” from Ballet Association of Korea and received another prize from Dance Critic Prize as “Best Choreography of the Year”.
