AMINO THRIFT ist ein improvisierendes Quartett, das die Konturen des modernen Jazz neu interpretiert. Das Ensemble verbindet auf innovative Weise die treibenden Rhythmen des Jazz mit zeitgenössischen sowie elektronischen Klanglandschaften. Die klassische Besetzung eines Jazz Quartetts wird dabei um elektronische Instrumente und Sound Modulationen erweitert oder ersetzt. Die Band wurde zunächst als Trio in New York City gegründet, wo sie ihre diversen kulturellen Hintergründe und Einflüsse zu einem eigenen Band Sound entwickelten. In 2024 wurde die Band um die renommierte Saxophonistin Theresia Philipp erweitert, welche ihre mitreißende Energie beisteuert.

AMINO THRIFT is an improvising quartet that reinterprets the contours of modern jazz. The ensemble combines the driving rhythms of jazz with contemporary and electronic soundscapes in an innovative way. The classic line-up of a jazz quartet is expanded or replaced by electronic instruments and sound modulations. The band was initially formed as a trio in New York City, where they developed their diverse cultural backgrounds and influences into a unique band sound. In 2024, the band was expanded to include the renowned saxophonist Theresia Philipp, who contributes her infectious energy.
