COLONEL PETROV’S GOOD JUDGEMENT – der Name steht für den eigenen Weg, das Nicht-Befolgen von Konventionen und Normen. So hat auch der besagte Oberst Stanislaw Petrov im Jahre 1983 durch sein Nicht – Befolgen der offiziellen Regeln im Falle eines Raketenalarms, einen vermeintlichen Atomangriff auf die Sowjetunion als Fehlalarm entlarvt und somit das Schlimmste verhindert.
Natürlich geht es dem Quartett um den Gitarristen und Komponisten Sebastian Müller nicht darum, die Welt zu retten, sondern vielmehr um einen neuen Weg der Verschmelzung von verschiedenen musikalischen Einflüssen. Die kraftvolle und abgedrehte Musik der Band ist dabei einem kontinuierlichen Entwicklungsprozess unterworfen, der den Bogen vom Jazz über No Wave, Noise, Math-Rock bis hin zu Heavy-Rocksounds spannt, dabei jedoch keinen vorgegebenen Formeln folgt.

An diesem Abend hat die Band mit Philip Zoubek einen ganz besonderen Gast dabei, welcher die Band mit dem Synthesizer ergänzen wird. Zoubek gilt als Grenzgänger zwischen Jazz und Neuer Musik und ist ein Meister der freien Improvisation. Seine musikalische Offenheit gepaart mit seinem kraftvoll – ekstatischen Spiel tragen in perfekter Weise zum Powerplay der Band bei.

COLONEL PETROV’S GOOD JUDGEMENT – the name stands for the own way, the non-observance of conventions and norms. Thus, in 1983, the aforementioned Colonel Stanislav Petrov, by not following the official rules in the event of a missile alarm, exposed a supposed nuclear attack on the Soviet Union as a false alarm and thus prevented the worst.
Of course, the quartet around guitarist and composer Sebastian Müller is not interested in saving the world, but rather in a new way of merging different musical influences. The band’s powerful and wacky music is subject to a continuous development process that spans from jazz to no wave, noise, math rock and heavy rock sounds, but doesn’t follow any predetermined formulas.

On this evening the band has a very special guest with Philip Zoubek, who will complement the band with the synthesizer. Zoubek is considered a border crosser between jazz and new music and is a master of free improvisation. His musical openness paired with his powerful - ecstatic playing contribute in a perfect way to the powerplay of the band.
