Eleven pupils from the Rembergschule – a special school for children with intellectual disabilities – four members of the VolXbühne theatre group (aged 65+) and the Mülheim-based musician Peter Eisold attempt a humorous exploration of one of life’s central themes: love. The subject affects everyone! There is no universal guide to love; instead, every pupil must have their own individual experiences – the senior citizens know this.
Can love be learnt? If there had been a school of love: what sort of school would it have been, where we would learn all the things that nobody teaches us in real life? How to feel and communicate a ‘yes’ and a ‘no’ in your body, and perhaps the most important question of all: how to love yourself?
