Dear music lovers,

The pianist and international prizewinner Kathrin Isabelle Klein is characterised by her particular versatility. She feels at home in all eras, including contemporary music, and frequently performs as a chamber musician and accompanist in various formations. She has performed at renowned festivals such as the Mosel Music Festival, the Mozartfest Würzburg, the Sommerliche Musiktage Hitzacker and the Acht Brücken Köln festival. In 2022, together with Monika Abel (soprano), she was awarded a special prize at the German Music Competition and a scholarship from the German Music Competition Concert Fund, and the duo’s first CD will soon be released on the Hänssler Classic label.

In addition to solo and chamber music, playing in orchestras and ensembles is another of Kathrin Isabelle Klein’s passions. She has been a pianist in the German National Youth Orchestra, the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie and most recently the Ensemble Modern Akademie Frankfurt. She regularly plays in orchestras such as the Munich Philharmonic and the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra.

Kathrin Isabelle Klein studied at the universities of Würzburg and Munich with Markus Bellheim and obtained her concert exam in the piano solo class at the HMTM Hanover (class of Prof. Ewa Kupiec) in July 2024. Following teaching assignments for accompaniment at the universities of Munich and Stuttgart, she has been a lecturer for piano at the HMT Munich since 2022.
